Match Format, Scoring & Overtime

Matches run 10 minutes with no half-time interval, played to World Rugby’s sevens Laws of the Game plus the variations below. Clocks stop only when the referee signals “time off” (e.g. injury).
Overtime: if scores are level when the clock hits 10:00, play continues under golden-score rules: the next team to score anything (try, conversion-zone kick, drop goal) wins immediately. There’s no half-time-style break, so if the ball goes dead, play simply restarts.
Try location: Points Grounded under the posts (auto zone)7. Any other try (conversion attempt required)5 + kicked conversion — 1pt zone (10m out, centre)+1Conversion — 2pt zone (18m out, 18m from touch)+2Conversion — 4pt zone (20m out, 4m from touch)+4
Match ball: size 5 for men’s matches, size 4.5 for women’s. A minimum of five balls are kept pitch-side at all times.
